I’m teaming up with Happiesbetter and Eureka School District to raise funds to purchase accommodations for the district’s library.
Accommodations are changes that remove barriers and provide your child with equal access to learning. For example, if a student has trouble sitting through classroom instruction offering them a standing desk might help them stay focused.
A focused student creates a better learning environment for every student in that classroom. A focused student creates a less distracted teacher. A focused student creates fewer struggles at home.
It’s a domino effect.
Doesn’t the state pay for this equipment?
Not always, a student must be diagnosed with a disability and have a documented educational need for an accommodation before it can be purchased.
